A few days ago I was tagged by my friend The Reading Hobbit to do the Book Blogger Insider Tag. Thanks a bunch for tagging me! I’m always up for a little tagging fun! 🙂

Have fun
1. Where do you typically write your blog posts?
I write at my office desk. I work from home and I generally have some down time during the day. I’d love to say that I take my laptop to a coffee shop and write there but I haven’t actually done that yet 😦 …. maybe this weekend. lol.
2. How long does it take you to write a book review?
Usually takes me about an hour. And then I leave it alone for an hour or so and come back to it with fresh-ish eyes to fine tune things or fix obvious typos.
3. When did you start your book blog?
I started my book blog on April 26 – so what is that…. 22 days ago?? I’m so blown away by the community! It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m kicking myself for not starting this years ago.
4. What’s the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
The worst thing (although it really is a good thing) is that I’m in love with SO many blogs now! I know it is even going to get worse. I want so badly to read everything that everyone has written but I know that I’m going to fall short pretty hard at that.
5. What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
It gives me some me time. I love writing and this blog really forces me to sit down and get some words out several times a week. I love the instant gratification of having a blog post written and then start getting immediate feedback. It is so much easier than when I’m writing a story for days (or months) and I feel like I’m not getting anywhere with it.
6. What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?
I really enjoy thinking about the books I’m reading critically, but something I wasn’t expecting was the community and the fun memes and tags! I really loved the Top 5 Opening Lines post I did on Tuesday. It was a blast sitting in front of my bookshelves and just going through all my favorites to re-read the opening lines. It took me way longer than it should have but I had a lot of fun doing it.
7. What is your favorite type of blog post to write?
I really do love writing reviews. They stretch my brain and make me think about novels more critically (of course I occasionally like to read quick books and not think at all! lol).
8. When do you typically write?
In the mornings. As the day progresses I get more and more tired (oh – did I mention I have a 9 month old sitting/playing next to me all day – ha!). The afternoons & evenings are for snuggling and reading – not thinking. 😀
9. How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled up with your fur baby?
Well I’m drinking coffee right now…. I can’t really have TV on or that will distract me & my baby is always nearby 🙂
10. When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?
I try to write my review within a day of finishing the book. I need to keep stuff fresh in my mind & I get very distracted if I start reading another book in the meantime. I’m getting old. 🙂
11. How often do you post?
I’ve only been doing this about 3 weeks but I’ve been trying to post 2-3 book reviews a week. I think in the summer that might slow down to 1-2 reviews a week. In the meantime, I also post 1-3 tags or memes a week as well. We’ll see what happens 🙂
I tag
- Elissa Reads
- Vanessa @ ThroughProseTintedPages
- The Bookworm Drinketh
- Slytherin Booklady
- Bookishly Rebecca
I like to tag people that I just met 🙂 Of course, if you don’t like to do tags, don’t feel pressured doing so! It’s all in good fun!
Happy Thursday! 🙂
Awesome!! Will get to it as soon as i can. Seems like it will be fun

Thanks for the tag! You seem more organized than I am! I always seem to be writing posts at the last minute! Then I have my father texting me pointing out any typos and errors I may have missed! 😂😂

Haha… I’m sure that during the summer all organization will go out the window 🙂

Loved reading your answers 😀 I totally get you on the instant gratification thing. It takes so much time when you write a story before anyone gets to read it, and then it’s usually so you can get critique? But for a blog post it’s just not really about the writing but about the books it’s such a nice change of pace

I love tags so this is right up my alley 😋
You have a decent following after only having your blog for 3 weeks, that’s awesome 😄

Thanks Rebecca!! Ugh – it’s because I spend WAY too much time surfing the WordPress and reading other blogs. But I’m so grateful for the following and for following all of you guys! ❤
