So I just got back from a week long trip to Wildwood, NJ to visit my in-laws and extended family on the east coast. This was not my son’s first airplane ride but it was certainly the longest at 4 hours each way. I was so nervous but turns out I had nothing to worry about. He did awesome both ways! He barely fussed at all and made friends with literally everyone sitting near us. We’re a traveling family so I’m really hoping that he can keep it up.
My little one also got to spend some time on the beach. Needless to say, he was not impressed 😀 But sand is pretty strange when you think about it so I understand. It is kind of gross and sticks to you and you definitely don’t want to put it in your mouth (which is his favorite thing to do to everything). It didn’t help that we went in early June and the water was freeeeezing. I’m sure in a few years, he’ll warm up to the beach 😀
As for me, my favorite part of the trip was strolling the boardwalk, eating my Kohrs Brothers ice cream cone and playing skeeball in the arcade. ❤
Onto what I’ve been reading…
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World Of Words, the rules are simple you just have to answer these three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I finally just got this one from the library!! I feel like I’ve been waiting for it forever so I’m jumping right in. Can’t wait to *hopefully* rave about it in a review next week. Anyone else read this one yet??
Recently Finished Reading:
Didn’t do a whole lot of reading while I was away but I sped through Listen to You Heart while I was on the plane. I’ll do a mini review for that either tomorrow or Friday. Tell Me No Lies was a blog tour I was part of this week. I was surprised by how serious this novel turned out to be. A coming of age story set in 1988. The music references alone are reason enough to check this one out 🙂
What I Think I’ll Be Reading Next:
Jar of Hearts is one that has been on my radar for a while that just came out this week. I think it should be a quick one & I’m hoping it lives up to my expectations.
I bought Reaper yesterday and read about 5 pages of it. I’m seriously considering trying to re-read the first two before I actually plunge into it. Anyone else reading this one?? I’m horribly forgetful – do you recommend a fresh re-read??
Happy Reading everyone!! ❤
