Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
We’ve all been there…. Either an anticipated read comes and goes at the same time you’re trying to tame your ginormous TBR pile or you fall in love with a new book by a new-to-you author and you immediately have to go back and put all their previous works on hold at the library…
Here are 10 books by some of my favorite authors that I still haven’t read…
One day… ❤ Happy Reading ❤
I picked up Language of Thorns solely because of the cover (AND because my local B&N had signed copies!), without having read any of her other books. I. LOVE. THESE. RETELLINGS. I’ve always had a soft spot for fairy tale retellings, and when they’re good, they’re GREAT. And these are wonderful. So put that one on your list to read first 😛

I own a copy of this book as well and it is soooo pretty!! It is also pretty short so I have no idea why I’ve been waiting to pick it up!! Thank you for the suggestion… I’ve bumped it up!!

The pictures make it so worth it, too, and watching the border build around each story!!!

You must read The Cruel Prince! We have to rectify this!

I got this as a Christmas gift LAST YEAR!! How embarrassing… I’m not sure why it feels so daunting every time I look at it but it does!! LOL. No more excuses!!

Well at least the second book is around the corner so you can binge it if you want!

That is totally my M.O. – wait until the sequel comes out and then FINALLY get around to the first one 😀

You are the smart one! I’ve been not so patiently waiting for the second one since I read TCP earlier this year.

Well then I’m even more desperate for Book Three so we’ll both be suffering together soon 😀

Making this list was a little sad & eye opening because I actually OWN all these books. The Cruel Prince has been on my “short list” literally ALL YEAR! I think perhaps October should be a catch up month!

LOL!! That’s a long short list. haha. I hear you though. I had all these books on my short list and I haven’t gotten to them yet. Yes, October can be a catch up month! Great plan!!

Definitely pick up The Boy In The Smoke – it’s so short but it’s excellent 🙂
I enjoyed Smoke in the Sun even more than Flame in the Mist.

I still have to read Practical Magic too!

Isn’t it strange that’s the one I’ve skipped?? I looked & I’ve literally read ALL of her novels except that one (even the Practical Magic follow-up). I don’t know… I really love the movie so maybe I’m afraid the book won’t be as good??

I keep meaning to read it and then I get distracted by other books! There are a bunch of her books that I haven’t read yet, but that’s the one I’m most excited for.

The ones on here that I’ve read I’ve really enjoyed – The Language of Thorns, The Cruel Prince and Practical Magic all got 4 stars from me if I remember correctly. I really enjoyed them and think that you should bump them up your list, if you’re taking votes that is 😉

Always taking votes… Cruel Prince is getting most of them… 😀

I like the young elites very much.
Language of thorns was a bit disappointing, I think Bardugo is better in full novels than short books.
The cruel prince was good too

Got it! I think Young Elites will be a super quick read when I get to it. Some with Language of Thorns but thanks for the warning. I have a copy of that one and all the illustrations are just so pretty!!

The Cruel Prince was good…minus the annoying “antagonist”

Now that I’m on a roll with Tamora Pierce and her Tortall books, I’m definitely looking forward to finally reaching Tempests and Slaughter!

Tamora Pierce is my childhood! Alana & Daine have been read so many times they are falling apart!! Hope you love them ❤

I’m so excited to get to both of these!! I’m taking it really easy on ARCs for the rest of the year so I can catch up on a bunch of stuff I’ve fallen behind on 🙂

Ahhhh this post reminds me that I am failing myself and I still haven’t read The Language of Thorns either. But, really you should give Young Elites a try – especially if you like anti-heroines!!!

Ugh I really need to get to Smoke in the Sun too. It’s one of my most anticipated reads of this year and it’s just staring at me!

Me too!!! The problem with this one is that I bought it on my kindle so it isn’t in my bookshelf looking at me. But I loved the first one and I’ve heard Smoke in the Sun is better! Fingers crossed we both get to it soon!! ❤
